Oil filter wrench from Gates

This wrench is the latest specialist tool for garages from the timing belt and tensioner manufacturer.
It can be used on cars, commercial vehicles and even coach and bus applications.
The company’s regional manager Philip Firth says: “Removing filters is a tricky job at the best of times but this tool uses an old belt to generate grip and remove the most stubborn of filters.
“It means the mechanic can do the job without damaging or puncturing the filter housing – because that remains intact, there is less chance of an oil spillage.”
