Superchips taps into BMW power

The latest performance enhancement from Superchips is a dealer-fit ECU remap which supposedly increases performance on the 135i model by 49 bhp.

The remap changes parameters on the car’s Siemens MSD ECU to give a sharper and more exciting drive. It aims to optimise ignition, fuelling and turbo boost settings.

Superchips reckons an upgraded car produces peak torque more than 1,000 rpm lower down the rev range. It also claims to boost torque from 394 Nm to 456 Nm at 3,359.
