Hunt for UK's best windscreen fitter down to final 6
THE SEARCH for the country’s best windscreen fitter has entered its final stage.
A group of six ‘automotive glazing technicians’ are preparing for the final of the UK Master Fitter contest at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 16th September.
Following a series of regional heats, the six finalists in the contest – sponsored by wiper blade company Trico – are:
- Andrew Fountain Advance Windscreens, Cambuslang
- Mark Palmer Advanced Windscreen Services, Bristol
- Matthew Cassells Motorglass, Chorley
- Marvin Stocks Yorkshire Windscreens, Rotherham
- Ben Beckwith A1 Autoglaze, Uckfield
- John Ferry Autoglaze, Bournemout
The overall champion will represent the UK on a global stage on 30th September at the 2010 International Master Fitter Championships, as part of the Glasstec International Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, where contestants from up to fifteen nations will be participating.
