ATA reaches milestone
Ainsley McEwan, an independent garage owner and technician from Derby, became the 3,000th technician to achieve the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) standard. Mr McEwan achieved the highest ‘Master’ level of ATA. Mr McEwan was presented with a bottle of champagne by Alan Mackrill, director of learning and skills at the IMI and a Solus diagnostic tool from regional branch manager of Snap on Tools, Steve Rowe. Alan Mackrill, IMI director of learning and skills added, “By gaining Master Technician status at national level, Ainsley has shown that he is among the elite of vehicle technician and this sends a clear message of expertise and integrity to his customers.” The ATA scheme recognises skilled technicians who have been independently tested and who are committed to a code of ethical conduct.Email this article to a Friend
